July’s Yogi of the Month is Sandra Parsons.

Sandra truly is an inspiration to everyone.  She will absolutely give everything a go and has built up an admirable yoga routine, booking up her Flexipass weeks in advance.  I know that many students have felt motivated by Sandra’s attitude and approach on the mat.

Sandra has a kind and gentle soul and is the first person to welcome a new face to the studio and puts everyone at ease.  It’s a joy to welcome her each week and I’m delighted that Rosieglo Yoga has become part of Sandra’s weekly routine.

Say hello to our Yogi of the Month…

Name: Sandra Parsons

How and why did you find your way on to the mat?

I am a big Facebook fan and found Rosieglo Yoga page as a result.    I have chronic pain and have found it difficult to exercise.  After 3 spine operations over the years,  I thought YOGA might help, which it does.

How did you feel after your first yoga class at Rosieglo Yoga?

Tired but happy as I managed to do some yoga positions straight away.  Also, it  felt right to be at Rosieglo Yoga and wanting more.

Have you noticed any benefits or changes in yourself since practising yoga?

Greater flexibility in my spine – more relaxed – happy – proud of my accomplishments – YOUNGER.

What do you like most about practising at Rosieglo Yoga?

Small classes, friendly atmosphere, great instruction,  clean studio, mats & equipment supplied, inexpensive.  I look forward to the Yoga class at Rosieglo studio and have been attending for a year now.  And it’s a great location as I can do some shopping in Bath Rd after yoga.

What’s your favourite pose at the moment or what are you enjoying most?

Downward dog pose – because it challenges me and takes me out of my comfort zone (and because I don’t need to know my right from my left!).

What words of wisdom would you share with someone who is new to yoga or thinking of giving it a go?

Don’t think about YOGA – DO IT.  Yoga, for me, is so beneficial for mind and body.
