April’s Yogi of the Month is Debbie Wilkinson.

Debbie joined Rosieglo in January and is already on to her second Flexipass!

Debbie is a great example of what you can achieve with regular practise.  She needed a bit of encouragement to step on to the mat for the first time and was initially a little apprehensive.

Since her first class though there’s been no looking back.  I have loved watching Debbie flourish on the mat.  She now totally owns her time in class and is fully present and at ease.  It’s not always easy logistically for Debbie to get to class with childcare to arrange and a business to manage, but her commitment has been awesome.

Debbie’s Mum is also a regular and suggested that Debbie give it a go.  How special that Rosieglo Yoga is keeping it in the family and reaching people across the generations.

Say hello to our Yogi of the Month.

Name: Debbie Wilkinson

How and why did you find your way on to the mat?

I have been meaning to try yoga for years as a way of helping me manage stress and various anxieties but never got round to it. Now that I have 2 young children, a home and a business to run, I decided that I really needed some ‘down time’. My mum had recently started practising yoga with you and suggested I try it.

How did you feel after your first yoga class at Rosieglo Yoga?

Really good! I hadn’t really known what to expect and was perhaps a tad cynical about whether it would have an impact but I can honestly say that even after the first session I noticed a difference.

Have you noticed any benefits or changes in yourself since practising yoga?

Yes! I feel so calm and serene after a session – it’s lovely!

What do you like most about practising at Rosieglo Yoga?

I can get completely lost in the moment and forget about all the stresses outside of the room.

What’s your favourite pose at the moment or what are you enjoying most?

I love the sun salutation routine and I love pushing myself to try new things.

What words of wisdom would you share with someone who is new to yoga or thinking of giving it a go?

Do it do it do it! There is absolutely no reason not to and loads of reasons to. It’s great for body and mind and Rosie is so warm and welcoming.
